Firework Rockets
Shown with one gunpowder and no stars. Use 1–3 gunpowder for flight duration 1–3; optional stars add explosions.
Ingredients
Choose flight duration
Combine one paper with 1–3 gunpowder. Every recipe makes 3 rockets. One gunpowder gives Flight Duration 1, two give Flight Duration 2, and three give Flight Duration 3. These numbers are flight settings, not an exact number of seconds.
Each added firework star supplies an explosion. The paper, gunpowder, and each star occupy separate crafting slots, so a 3 × 3 grid leaves room for at most 7, 6, or 5 stars respectively.
Make a firework star
Combine one gunpowder with one or more dyes. Each dye contributes an explosion color. You can add one shape ingredient:
| Shape ingredient | Explosion shape |
|---|---|
| None | Small ball |
| Fire Charge | Large ball |
| Gold Nugget | Star |
| Feather | Burst |
| A head, such as a Creeper Head | Creeper face |
Use only one shape ingredient. Add a Diamond for a trail, Glowstone Dust for twinkle, or both. Everything must fit in the crafting grid.
Add fade colors
Combine an existing firework star with one or more dyes. The explosion keeps its original colors, shape, trail, and twinkle, and uses the new fade colors in place of any previous fade colors. Use that star in a rocket to carry its effects into the explosion.
